Celebrate the start of summer with a free tour of Castle Tucker on Saturday, June 6. Tours leave on the half hour from 11 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Last tour leaves at 4:00 pm.
Castle Tucker is one of Maine’s most fascinating landmarks. Step back in time as you walk through a mansion filled with the original furnishings of the Tucker family, who lived here for over 140 years. The unusual style house was built in 1807 by one of Wiscasset’s most prominent citizens, Congressman and Judge Silas Lee. Lee spent years acquiring the estate that was to be his architectural dream house.
