Thomaston Place Auction Galleries' Vintage Accents Online Auction

Thomaston Place Auction Galleries' Vintage Accents Online Auction

Now through Thursday, September 12, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries presents “Vintage Accents”, an online only auction offering a diversity of decorative pieces sourced from Maine estates that can add the perfect design punctuation to any home or collection – and all items with modest opening bids.  This sale is a continuation of the recent “Maine and Beyond” feature auction, with many items originating from the same consignor collections. It is being conducted simultaneously on three online auction sites: Thomaston Live, LiveAuctioneers, and Invaluable.

This 462-lot sale includes an incredibly diverse selection of artwork (many pieces by Maine artists), early automotive collectibles, fine furniture, folk art, lighting, art glass & porcelain, marine items, silver, contemporary & antiquarian prints, Asian items, carpets, and many great decorative accents.

Highlighted items include: artwork by Waldo Peirce, Alan Magee, Jean Hans Arp, Montague Dawson, Eric Hopkins, James Rivington Pyne and many others; 1920s Michelin man items; an Aesthetic period bamboo etagere; an Edwardian picnic set; a large carved Meerschaum pipe collection; a pair of Dresden porcelain pug dog figures, and a set of Luna Garcia pottery plates.

Items to be sold can be viewed online now at any of the three auction websites.  Participants can register and place pre-auction (or absentee) bids from now to the start of the live auction.  When the live auction begins, at 10:00 EST on September 12, registered participants may bid live online as each item comes up for sale.

To view the catalog, register and place a bid, visit https://live.thomastonauction.com/.  Please note that the Thomaston Live bidding platform has a downloadable app for mobile phones. All participants must register to place bids.  Please call 1-207-354-8141 for further information.

Winning bidders will receive an invoice by email within 24 hours of the auction’s completion.  Items may be picked up at Thomaston Place Auction Galleries (51 Atlantic Highway, US Route 1, Thomaston, ME 04861), or shipping can be arranged.
