OffTopic! talks are new editions to the educational and community outreach efforts of Salt Bay Chamberfest. Please join us as we kick-off our season with the first OffTopic! on Sunday, August 7 at 2:00 pm at St. Andrews Village Retirement Community in Boothbay Harbor.
Mark Mandarano, Assistant Professor and Director of Instrumental Music at Macalester College, will give a talk that outlines the mythology, drama, poetry, philosophy, history, biography, theory—and, of course, the musical innovations—that interact with Richard Wagner’s four cycle opera, The Ring of the Nibelung.
