Maine's own David Mallett is a folk icon of world renown. His tune, The Garden Song, is one of America’s most popular folk songs, having been recorded more than 150 times and sung around the globe. This year two Maine singer/songwriters will open the show back to back for Mallett – Heather Hardy and Anna Pillsbury. Winner of the 2013 Maine Songwriting Competition and 2nd place winner of the 2012 New England Songwriting Contest, Heather Hardy is a singer-songwriter living in Bristol, Maine. Anna Pillsbury is a natural-born songwriter and new talent on the rise in the local Maine music scene.

The events support the conservation and education work of the Damariscotta River Association. The Damariscotta River Association, a non-profit community-supported land trust has been working since 1973 to preserve and promote the natural, cultural, and historical heritage of the Damariscotta River region.
