FREE "Carousel" Screening at Medomak Valley High School, presented by The Waldo
CAROUSEL Screening March 13
An official Maine Bicentennial Event:
In partnership with The Maine Film Center and Medomak Valley High School (MVHS), The Waldo presents a FREE screening of CAROUSEL Friday, March 13 at 7pm at MVHS as part of "Maine in the "Movies."
Based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein stage musical, this film follows the romance of Billy Bigelow (Gordon MacRae), a charming carousel barker, and Julie Jordan (Shirley Jones), a pretty worker from a nearby mill.
Filmed primarily in Boothbay Harbor, "Carousel" is one of a series of films set or made in Maine screening throughout the State in March to mark our Bicentennial.
The Waldo theatre building is currently undergoing renovations and not available to host this screening on site. We're grateful to Medomak Valley High School for making this celebration possible.
Tickets are FREE at the door!
