SUMMARY:SummerThing - George Massengill & The Boneheads
DESCRIPTION:Nationally renown keyboard artist George Massengill from Tennessee joins the Boneheads at Clarks Cove Farm.\n\nSummerThing Rocks On!\n\nGeorge Massengill is coming home to Clarks Cove Farm where he headlined the Love of Recovery- Rockers in Recovery concert in August 2017 (video below). He will be joined by our favorite local band Stevie Jones and the Boneheads (who have played at the Farm twice this season.)\n\nThe Love of Recovery concert commemorated international overdose day and all donations were used to purchase naloxone. This year\, once again\, overdose prevention will be the theme and all donations will support the purchase of the first hospital based naloxone/narcan vending machine in the State of Maine. Thank you Lincoln Health for helping to raise community awareness of opioid addiction as a medical issue. We have come along way since 2016!\n\n\n\nA Little About George\n\n"George Massengill has been playing music since he was a teenager with his "Southern Comfort Band" comprised of childhood friends from Jamestown\, Tn. His musical resume is impressive and includes playing with members of The Allman Brothers\, Don Taylor\, Artemus Pyle\, Willie Nelson\, Lorrie Morgan\, Three Dog Night\, The Doobie Brothers and Hank Jr. among many others. His band "The Chillbillies" has been an east Tennessee favorite for decades. George's bluesy\, honky tonk piano virtuosity combined with his sultry\, soulful voice and charisma makes him a crowd favorite wherever he goes. George has been a long time advocate for those suffering from addiction and a pioneer in devkill eloping new ways to help people recover their lives using music as a catalyst."\n\n\n\nWatch George kill it on "Can't You See"
