DESCRIPTION:Background: Ruth Monsell is known throughout the region for her compelling performances in musical drama\, and performances of selected greats from our American and British musical heritage.   Ruth has performed locally in many well known and loved roles in the musical drama genre.  Accompanied by her son\, Todd\, Ruth will perform selected favorites from her expansive repertoire.  She will also offer choices selected by the audience from her varied choices.    \n\nRu has recently published a biography of Frances Perkins\, an historic figure from Damariscotta who was instrumental in the Franklin Delano Rosevelt administration for her role in creating our Social Security Program.  Ruth performed the character of Frances Perkins in a recent production of her biography at the Lincoln Theater.
