Directions: Take Route 220 South into Friendship to Route 97. Turn left and take your first right past the fire station and Community Center onto Bradford Road. About 1 mile down the road is the launch area. The duration of the paddle will be 4 hours with picnic lunch (bring your own) on the Island\; no public rest rooms.\n\n AND\n\nSaturday 8/8\, 10AM - Sennebec Pond\, Appleton - Directions: From Damariscotta take Route 1 North through Waldoboro to Route 235 North. Turn left proceeding 11.1 miles to the intersection of Routes 235\, 17 and 131\; turn left and in 0.2 miles take right onto Route 131 (West Sennebec Road). The put in is 1.3 miles on the right .Paddle duration 2 hours\; no public rest room\; optional lunch at The Badger Caf and Pub at Union Square.\n\n\n\nThe paddles are free and the public is welcome to accompany PWA on these trips. By popular demand\, we are now offering many ocean paddles and lake/stream paddles on the same days for those who are not quite ready for ocean paddles or would prefer the alternative. All paddlers participating in PWA trips are responsible for their own safety and each participant should determine in advance if conditions are suitable for their skill level.
