DESCRIPTION:Join us as we host our first Discussion Project with the Maine Humanities Council. This two-part event will be held Wednesdays\, April 20 and 27 from 6-7:30 p.m. via Zoom and will focus on Roxane Gay's book\, Hunger\, a "  deeply moving exploration of the ways in which trauma\, stories\, desire\, language and metaphor shape our experiences and construct our reality" (New York Times).\n\nPoet\, blogger\, watercolorist and photographer\, Carol Willette Bachofner\, together with New Hope Midcoast staff\, will facilitate the discussions. Carol is the author of seven books of poetry. Her poems have appeared in several journals\, as well as in the anthology\, Dawnland Voices\, an Anthology of Writings from Indigenous New England (2014). She was a finalist in the Maine Literary Awards for 2011 and won the Maine Postmark Contest 2017.
