About Us

Phelps Architects Inc. is a Maine based architecture firm specializing in Residential and Commercial Architecture including new construction, additions, renovations and historic restorations. We offer a range of services for varying project sizes and types including custom waterfront residential projects with noted expertise designing to accommodate for complex new construction and expansions, floodplains, and ledge conditions. Our commercial services experience includes municipal, healthcare and education markets including community buildings, gymnasiums, veterinary/animal care facilities and physician offices.

The office is owned and operated by its Principals, husband and wife team Michelle B. Phelps and Daniel A Phelps. Our offices are located both in Damariscotta and Portland covering the Midcoast/Downeast and Southern Maine communities and beyond. Our licensed architectural offerings include planning, full architectural services, pre-design, real estate feasibility consulting, regulatory research and permitting, and construction budgeting.
