Elemental Intersections: Conversations on Art & Environment hosted by Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts
Potter, teacher, and poet Jack Troy is a renowned master of fire, harnessing the energy of trees to create flame-changed platters, Jars, and bowls. In this conversation, Jack will reveal some secrets of wood fire kilns. Ecologist Nick Fischilli shares how trees store the energy from the sun which Jack then converts into his art, and Polly Mahoney will tell stories about her experience as a Maine Guide, helping all of us feel the grandeur and power of the forest.
